ABOUT PLASTIC SURGEON JOSHUA KORMAN, MD 

Joshua Korman, MD FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon and Stanford Adjunct Clinical Professor. A nationally recognized leader in his profession, Dr. Korman is consistently top-ranked for his clinical skill and artistry. In addition to recognition by his peers and patients as an outstanding clinician, Dr. Korman is an accomplished writer, having authored and co-authored many scientific and general interest books and articles in publications ranging from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to The New York Times. He has appeared on many national television programs as an expert in plastic surgery, including ABC’s “20/20”, and CNN. He continues to be on many “Best of”, “Top Doc” and “Readers Choice” publications.

As a clinical professor, he leads programs and courses sponsored by national plastic surgery organizations. He also trains Stanford plastic surgery residents and plastic surgeons around the world, and has traveled to many countries to provide reconstructive surgical care to the underserved. Dr. Korman also volunteers to educate breast cancer patients on their options for breast reconstruction. With a desire to give back to the community, Dr. Korman began the Clean Slate program in San Jose, California that gives former gang members the opportunity to rebuild their lives by removing tattoos that represent their past.

Dr. Korman holds many patents for innovations in plastic surgery in the areas of skin remodeling and tissue expansion. He is also an accomplished sculptor and musician.

Dr. Korman received his Bachelor’s Degree and Medical Degree from Cornell University, where he graduated at the top of his class (Alpha Omega Alpha). He completed his plastic surgery residency at Stanford University and furthered his education and experience with fellowships at Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, and a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Miami, Florida. In 2021 he received the “Teacher of the Year” award from the Stanford division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

When considering cosmetic surgery, there may be multiple concerns patients wish to address. Dr. Korman often performs combined procedures for patients, such as a mommy makeover surgical plan.

There are a multitude of factors involved in determining the cost of cosmetic surgery. These include the intricacies of a procedure and necessary equipment, fees for the consultation, anesthetist and surgeon, as well as additional appointments or procedures. Costs are individual to the patient, but they will be finalized before you undergo any treatment.
